If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns of self-criticism and perfectionism, or feel like you’re constantly in survival mode just trying to hold everything together

You’re not alone.

HI, I’M JENNA (she/her)

I’m a licensed therapist, yoga teacher, and a fellow traveler on the journey to find connection, meaning and joy from life. Therapy with me is collaborative, kind, and grounded—I show up as a real person so you can feel comfortable doing the same.

My lived experiences allow me to approach this work with deep compassion, and I’m intentional about creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment. I have experienced religious trauma and understand the pain and complexity of growing up as a highly sensitive person in environments that didn’t always make space for our emotions or our humanity. My heart has felt how deeply grief, loss and chronic illness can change your entire world and leave you feeling lost and untethered.

I believe the most powerful thing I can do in therapy is to share my human-ness. We each have a unique story and as humans we are capable of holding many conflicting truths. You can love your life and still feel anxious, overwhelmed, or weighed down by the responsibility of it all. Let’s talk about that. Let’s talk about what it’s really like to live through painful experiences and give ourselves permission to speak the words we’ve never let ourselves say out loud before. We aren’t meant to carry these burdens alone. When you have a space to be honest and supported, that’s where healing begins.

Therapy with me is…

  • We will work together to co-create a space that fits your needs. There is no “right” way to do therapy. Together we can explore what truly resonates for you.

  • Celebrating the strength, wisdom, and resilience you already posses to help move you toward future growth.

  • Being present and engaged in the moment. Bringing awareness to what is going on in your mind and body - thoughts, emotions, sensations. Beginning to notice what cues of safety or stress your nervous system is sending you. Learning to LISTEN inward and being CURIOUS rather than judgmental.

  • Trauma-informed care focuses on building trust and safety, moving at YOUR pace, and making sure you feel empowered with choice and autonomy in this space we create together. Traumatic experiences overwhelm our ability to cope. Trauma-informed care means being aware of how these experiences have affected us holistically, and ensuring we care for these experiences in a way that prevents further harm.

  • Meeting you where you are today and helping you journey to where you want to be. Everyone is welcome here and everyone is worthy of care and support. I am a LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity affirming therapist and I strive to be anti-racist in and out of the therapy room.

THE STORY OF SAMA

Inhale. Exhale. Samasthiti.

Sama Mental Health grew from the Sanskrit word samasthiti, meaning “equal standing”—a state of balanced stillness and grounded awareness. In yoga, it is a quiet and fundamental reset point. A moment to pause, reconnect with your breath, and come back into alignment with yourself.

In our work together, I hope to help you create more of this space in your life—more balance, more stillness, and more room to simply be.

Your needs matter.

If you’re looking for a space where you don’t have to hold everything together—where you can feel more grounded, more self-compassionate, and more free to be yourself—I’d be honored to work with you.
