A space to feel less alone, share what’s real, and be supported by people who truly get it.
Group Therapy
This group is a space to come together with others who have experienced religious trauma or spiritual abuse—so you don’t have to navigate it alone. As a therapist with my own lived experience of religious trauma, I understand how complex and isolating this can feel. My intention is to create a space that feels supportive, safe, and grounded as you move through this work.
Together, we’ll process what you’ve been through, make sense of the impact it’s had on your life, and explore new ways to heal and move forward.
Religious Trauma Therapy Group
Religious trauma can bring up a wide range of emotions, along with shifts in identity, relationships, and how you see yourself and the world. Being in a space with others who truly understand can help reduce that sense of isolation and make healing feel more possible.
Sessions include a blend of open and guided discussion, psychoeducation, coping tools, and reflective practices. The goal is to help you build a sense of safety and resilience, feel more connected to yourself, and move toward a greater sense of peace.
Topics We May Explore:
Processing grief and loss related to your beliefs or religious community
Working through feelings of shame, guilt, or self-blame
Navigating lingering fear, anxiety, or doubt after leaving a religious or faith system
Exploring how to manage relationships with people in your life who still hold your previous beliefs
Making sense of anger related to spiritual manipulation, control, or harmful experiences
Building self-compassion and creating space for personal growth
Reclaiming your autonomy, sense of self, and confidence after existing in oppressive structures
Supporting one another in setting goals and finding new sources of peace and stability
Group therapy sessions are $40 for each 90-minute session. Groups are held virtually, allowing participants to join from anywhere in Washington State.
*Because of the unique experiences many women and marginalized communities face within patriarchal or high-control religious environments, this group is currently open to female-identifying, queer, and non-binary individuals.
If you identify as male and are seeking support for religious or spiritual trauma, you’re still welcome to reach out. I’d be happy to discuss how I may be able to support you through individual therapy.
